4. Service Feasibility and Acceptance

We assess each project for technical feasibility and legal compliance before acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine that a project violates website terms of service, applicable laws, or our ethical standards. A formal quote constitutes our acceptance of a project.

5. Pricing and Payment

Payment Terms

Refunds

We offer refunds if delivered data does not meet the agreed-upon minimum completion rate (typically 30%) or fails to match specifications outlined in the project quote. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery with specific details of deficiencies.

6. Delivery and Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround time is 48-72 hours for most projects. Complex or large-scale projects may require longer timeframes, which will be communicated in the project quote. We will make reasonable efforts to meet delivery deadlines but are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

7. Data Quality Guarantee

We guarantee a minimum data completion rate as specified in your project quote (typically 30% for contact details). All data is validated and cleaned before delivery. If data quality falls below the guaranteed threshold, we will either re-extract the data or provide a full refund at your discretion.

8. Legal Compliance

We are committed to legal and ethical data extraction practices:

• We only extract publicly available information
• We respect robots.txt protocols and website terms of service
• We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
• We implement rate limiting to avoid disrupting target websites
• We do not extract from password-protected or restricted areas

9. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the extracted data delivered to you. However, the methodologies, scripts, and processes used to extract the data remain our intellectual property. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate our extraction methods.

10. Confidentiality

We treat all project details, specifications, and delivered data as confidential information. We will not disclose your information to third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent. We recommend that you also keep our methodologies and pricing confidential.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific project
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for how you use the extracted data
• We make no warranties about data accuracy beyond our quality guarantee
• We are not liable for changes to source websites that affect data availability

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scraper Guy from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or extracted data, including any violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

13. Service Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue our services at any time. We may terminate or suspend access to our services for violations of these Terms. In case of termination, we will provide a prorated refund for any prepaid services not yet rendered.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be governed by the laws of England and Wales. We encourage informal resolution of disputes before pursuing legal action. If formal proceedings are necessary, both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, government actions, internet service failures, or changes to target websites.

16. Severability
